A flower may comprise four organs:

<BR><LI> Petals may be brightly colored to attract pollinators.
<BR><LI> Stamens (composed of anther and filament) produce pollen.
<BR><LI> Carpels are (composed of stigma, style, and ovary.

   An  ovary  contains  several  ovules  which  develop  into seeds after
   fertilization.
